Catching Up

Published by itchick at 5:34 pm under Work Related

Why is it that taking a vacation from work always results in more work when it’s all over?  It’s a good thing I started the new blog while I was off, otherwise… more dust on itcatholicmom.net! *whew*

So here I am back at the office.  But wait, what’s that strange feeling in the air?  People moved into different offices?  A new face is on board?  A new organizational chart?  Fortunately, my location in the building and on the org chart hasn’t changed.  But I do feel uneasy… especially with the “reconfiguration” in progress.

My latest task: Create DVD Promoting Our City
(Better be good for the Site Selection Committee–we want to be selected for the new headquarters.  The pressure is on.)

    Brenda,

I love the new site. It is a work of art. Don’t worry about the changes aboard at the job. You will win them over. You are too talented. Nothing like a little heat to jazz things up. If you need me, call me.

If anyone can make a cool DVD to win the headquarters it will be you. Just make sure when (or if) you make the menu for the DVD it doesn’t say “enter title here”. I got a “professional” DVD from a company and that was what it said. To me that just says lazy. What editing software do you use? We use Adobe Premiere 6 at home and the man uses Adobe Premiere Pro at work. You would think it would be the same thing, but they moved and changed all the features from one to the other. Very weird.

    Have fun with your DVD!

@EZ: Wow! Nothing like a vote of confidence to ease the tension. Thank you for that comment. I appreciate you being there and will take you up on the offer.

@Sue & Angei: So far I’ve recorded the audio clips from my “Sister Narrator”, gathered photos from the archivist, and put the media together in Adobe Premier Elements 2.0. Now on to the tweaking and adding transitions. It’s not as fancy as I’d like it… not sure how best to add glitz without making it cheesy. Stay posted! :)
