Christian Pumpkins

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside, and scoops out all the yucky stuff—including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
(This was passed on to me from another pumpkin, Father J. Photo is mine.)

Love it! I have heard it before, but it always serves as a great reminder!
Those are some good looking pumpkins!!!
Peace!
Beautiful thought. Thanks for passing that along. Sometimes a person needs to hear stuff like that. Love the pumpkins. Are these the ones that will be gracing your front porch this Halloween season?
@Jenna: Fr. J never forwards cute messages onto people, so I knew it was good. So glad you agree.
@Pam: Actually, those are the pumpkins that CD and the CK’s carved last year. I’m wondering what they’ll come up with this year…? EEK! We don’t have long! Oh, but wait, we do have a home-grown pumpkin in the garden that’s ready for carving. *whew* Scared myself for a minute there.
I am cutting and pasting as I type. I want my kids to see this…hope that doesn’t screw up your copyright thingy.
I like that post. Gave me some food for thought… Glad you enjoyed the trip and returned safely…. Also, tell CG that I’m rooting for Santa to bring her the laptop
@Earl: Nah. Just do a couple of “Hail Mary’s” and we’ll call it good. Hope the kids enjoy!
@Ginger: Thanks for the message. And CG will be happy to hear your post… veeery happy.
This is really great! Something to think about - especially for me right now.
ADDRESS! GIVE ME!
Oh, BTW do you know how nasty your space has ben to me? I have not been able to upload it for WEEKS now and today I got it halfway there until I hd issues - and it is only your space I have had problems today.
@aak: Sheesh! You ARE one persistent moose.
This is wonderful! I should have stopped by a few days ago. *sigh* That middle pumpkin? How did you get a picture of me? Been sneakin’ into the big city here?
@Sue: Thanks! Hey, I know you’re busy… that’s why I snuck that photo of you while you were unawares. (Love that word:”unawares”. Finally had a chance to use it somewhere.)
