As a volunteer at school, you know the day is off to a bad start when one of the students looks at you between flash cards and says, “Yuck, breakfast. I almost threw up but swallowed it back down.” Yes, that was my experience with a 2nd grader this morning. Thank goodness another student sitting with us was able to join in by describing his barfing-in-school experiences, because otherwise that remark would’ve gone to waste as I continued drilling flash cards as if I had not heard a thing. What a nice couple of boys.

Just when you thought the geek household couldn’t get any geekier—well, it does! As I closed in on the end of my work-related projects this weekend, Catholic Hubs started working on a project of his own: converting 8mm video tapes to DVD. But these aren’t just any old videos that he’s converting. Oh no. We’re talking family videos of the Catholic Kids recorded over the course of their lifetimes. And the best part? Previewing the videos during the conversion process! The fun just never ends, does it?

As a consultant alongside my regular IT job, projects tend to “ebb and flow” throughout the year. Right now I’m seeing a whole lot of ebbing, hence the silence on my blog. But don’t go away! I promise it won’t last much longer. In fact, as soon as I get past juggling projects from 3 different clients (even a new one—isn’t that great!), I will be back to the insanity that is my blog.

What’s this? Blogs formulating in my head? I think they’re starting to ooze out of my ears. Eew. Now there’s a visual.
