For all you virgin birth non-believers out there, check that out. (Hey, if a Komodo dragon can do it, so can Mary.)

Today I ate Chinese food for lunch: Szechuan beef, steamed rice, hot & spicy soup with crab rangoon on the side. But there’s more to this lunch than meets the eye. Catholic Hubs and I shared our first date 15 years ago at this particular Chinese restaurant, a family-owned spot unlike any other. Let me back up to January 1992…

A vitamin a day may do more harm than good - Diet & Nutrition - MSNBC.com
GADS! I take calcium, folic acid & a multivitamin every day. Guess which one of my vitamins made the “Those that failed” list:
— Nature’s Plus Especially Yours for Women: Took twice as long as allowed to disintegrate
How did that vitamin ever make it to the shelves? Didn’t anyone do some disintegration testing beforehand? Really! Hmmm… No wonder my stomach’s churnin’ away all morning long. Well, on the brighter side, at least it doesn’t contain lead.
Back to the pricey One A Day Women’s. Crap. Crap. Crap.

For months I’ve been approached by staffers about the increase in Spam they are receiving via email. A few of these wonderful people even attempted to analyze the Spam with comments such as, “Some of the messages contain names that I know!!!” and “The Spam floods my inbox at exactly 4:00 p.m.!!!” They even go so far as to psychoanalyze the Spammer with, “Those people need something else to do besides send messages to me all day!!!” and “They must have really sick minds to send out so much crap to people!!!”
I tell them, “It’s Spam. S-P-A-M. No individual person is singling you out and sending you personal junk mail. This is an automated mass mailing process kind of thing. It’s happening to everyone everywhere.”
So what exactly am I going to do about it? Well, thanks to the wondiferous negotiating skills of my boss, the Sisters have allocated the funds for upgrading our mail relay with a Barracuda Spam Firewall. Woo baby! (I’m salivating already.) Try to get past our “powerful, easy to use and affordable enterprise-class spam and virus protection” now Spammers.
Well, I mean, after the installation is complete. Let’s hope it works—these hallway Spam conversations are taking a serious chunk out of my time.
