You’re not going to believe this, but I just received a call from Walt Disney World, Florida. They love, love, LOVED the write-up I sent them about Jacob, our fab concierge from the Disney resort and forwarded it to his leadership team so that he would get the recognition he deserved. Disney is happy CS received his Yeti, thanks to Jacob’s fast-acting-concierge-reflexes. Not only that, but they personally thanked me for taking the time to acknowledge Jacob’s professionalism.
See what happens when you’re nice to my Catholic family? You get noticed.
The Catholic Hubs and Kids deserve big high-fives after the awesome carving work they did on our pumpkins. It’s no wonder the trick-or-treaters are so amazed at our jack-o-lantern talent each year when they knock on our door! And this year, we’ve got a Disney inspired jack-o-lantern by special request (Mom):
I’ll have to say that returning home from our family vacation of a lifetime last week was a bit of a letdown to say the least. Yes, I’ve been fighting that particular feeling since returning to work last Friday, the day that I was hoping would take the edge off my Monday IT-request-pounding. But it didn’t. The minute I saw my phone message light blinking, the blood pressure skyrocketed. And it didn’t stop there. Then came the painting and carpeting guys to redo my office for the new IT staffer who will be taking over the technology department after the reorganization, thus kicking me to the storage room where I’d spend my time with dusty peripherals. *hmph*
A sad way to return from such a big adventure, don’t you think?
Which leads me one step closer to: Big Announcement #3.Stay tuned.
(Pay no attention to the tree partially blocking our view during this snippet. As you can see, we didn’t get a good spot for viewing fireworks at Epcot the night the video was taken. Let that be a lesson for the next time you find yourself at Epcot recording IllumiNations… camp out early!)
