Resounding “Aaaahhh”
… the sound parents make after the kids return back to school after an extended break, and I’m doing just that as I clean up all of the crumbs, wrapping paper scraps, empty boxes, stale Christmas cookies, tree needles, pieces of shredded tinsel (thanks, Smokie) and what-not. And after all was said and done? I have to say the holidays were very, very good to our wacky Catholic Family… despite the clutter left behind.
Now back to regularly scheduled life again. Where exactly was I?

It feels good to be back to work….let someone else tend to the children.
the kids just went back to school today? Lucky, lucky!! That’s a nice vaca!
Aaaahhhh…And I say that for LCW. CG1 went back to school last Thursday and CG2 started her pre-school schedule today. LCW even made it to the gym this morning. I am hoping life does return to…routine? I would say normal but our calendar is filling up fast.
Hope your break was good and you have a relaxing return to normal/routine.
There was a life before kids? Kids are life. Whether you’re the kid or the raiser.
Does it count if the kid you sent back to work (after sabbatical) is 46? Heehee…the quiet, the peace, the pages turned in silence! Up to 153!

We actually put away the video games too - our kids only get them during breaks or summer, or they get a bit too distracted. So now when the boys are home, instead of endless electronic noise, they are reading! Such lovely quiet…
I don’t know what I’m going to do when my oldest graduates at the end of January, and one will be in school and one out. They don’t have TVs in their room. I’ll figure something out.
@VENTL8R - and we still need to meet for lunch. *aaagh* Where’d all that maternity leave slip off to?
@Gina - I know! They were starting to get bored, so the timing was just about perfect for everyone.
@AITCD - Amen for LCW. She must be so thrilled to get back in the gym and into a routine again, and you too. Those calendars fill up way too fast.
@CD - So true. Confucius say.
@Becca - Of course… and 153?! I need to adjust that reading schedule, since I passed the first deadline too.
@JeriM - What will you do? Wow. Complete freedom again. How weird is that going to be? I’ll stay posted… Oh, and no TVs in our kids’ rooms either. We’re not big TV people, thank goodness.
