And as it turned out, one of the moms knew about it a week ahead of time and wondered why the conductors didn't get the word out to everyone else. So do we blame the city or the conductors who were aware of the potential for traffic that morning? How about both? At least then I'd have been prepared for the schlep time. Thus the handbag.
