Out of Character
While checking out an online service called Hulu that I blogged about over on my corporate blog, I found a video clip of Natalie Portman in which she raps like some sort of gangster chick. Thinking this kind of behavior was out of character for such a squeaky clean Harvard grad, I couldn’t help but roll on the floor laughing. Who’d have thought Natalie was so crude in real life? Makes you question the integrity of film stars these days, doesn’t it?
Take a look - but brace yourself and be prepared for Natalie’s raunchy (albeit censored) rap:

Okie Doke.
tee hee hee,
can’t typecast me.
was all I heard.
@Nadine - Reporters aren’t supposed to say that during an interview, are they? Ok maybe if you’re from SNL. Too funny.
@CD - Like she’s typecasted.
I rap like that everyday. Bwahahaha, not.
Hopefully you were being sarcastic about thinking she was a squeaky clean chick.
It was a SNL skit, she was acting, just like she does in Vendetta and Star Wars and etc.
Who knows whether most of Hollywood and the music industry are squeaky clean, raunchy, or weird? They so carefully cultivate a brand or image, and then morph effortlessly for acting roles - the real them is probably nearly invisible.
@Gina & JeriM - I rap that way, too.
And was being completely sarcastic in this post. Sometimes the voice doesn’t quite translate in my blogging attempts.
As per the brand/image, I guess it depends on how well the agents are paid…? You hit that nail right on the head there!
