Mother’s Day Gift Idea
Ever hear the saying, Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it? With Mother’s Day just around the corner, here’s a little hint from ITCM about what not to give Mom this year. (She won’t be wishing for a pair of these, trust me.) A gift card to Gap for low-rise boot cut jeans will make a much better substitute. Seriously:

This post is not to make fun, but just to to emphasize how Moms really are a forgotten market when it comes to jeans anymore. Sad but true. :/
sniff sniff…Should I take back my Levi’s I just bought?? deep sob….but I love them!!
And I know what you mean….you either have old ladies clothes, business pros, or slutty teens…nothing in the middle.
So I’m keepin’ my Levi’s!
For the record… I do not own a quilted vest.
@Nadine - No vest for me either, night on the town or not. Perfume instead.
(BTW: Levi’s don’t count, so you can keep those! But Lee’s? Not saying a word.)
Even in the plus sizes I frequent, it’s quite possible to get comfortable, relatively attractive low-rise boot-cut jeans. They don’t LOOK quite as good on me as they do on Uma Thurman - but she’s a genetic freak anyway.
I do admit to a pair of old, comfy Lee carpenter jeans that I use for working on the yard. ::shhhh::
@JeriM - Gap is the only place I seem to be able to find a decently fitting pair of jeans. Tommy Hilfiger jeans @Dillards worked for me at one time, but now they look exactly like ‘Mom jeans’. Good to know you’re able to find a pair, even though you’re not Uma!
I promise not to give your comfy-Lee-carpenter-yardwork jean secret away. Nope, won’t tell ANYONE.
Ack! Now I have to shop for mom again. And my aunt’s birthday next month. Maybe I’ll wait and see what they get me for my birthday next week? No? You’re right, off I go…
@CD - Good job, you made the right decision to go back and shop again. *high fives*
