Yesterday afternoon my entire abdominal region went on lock down and neglected to give me a warning signal. Wait, back up. I guess if you consider the fact that I’d been cleaning up barf from the floor consistently over the past two weeks due to the stomach flu that ransacked the Catholic Kids’ little bodies, I should’ve seen it coming. Must’ve been those moms-aren’t-supposed-to-get-sick blinders that I’d been wearing while running around the house brandishing that spray bottle of Resolve carpet cleaner. (No shameless plug intended - but it does clean up barf like no other.)
I’ll skip the gory details of my past 12+ hours but will say that I was reminded of the good ‘ole days with infants and never ending poopy diapers throughout the night. Nobody sleeps during it all, then Mom & Dad walk around like zombies the next day… and I can’t even think of a well focused ending here as I blog about it.

Unlike computer technology, gaming systems in our house aren’t always state-of-the-art, yet we do eventually hop on the bandwagon and venture out to buy the latest craze. This time all the rage is the Nintendo Wii. After the CK’s spent many a play date testing out this game system at friend’s homes, finally I caved and promised to buy one by the end of the school year, mostly as a way of congratulating them on their hard work and dedication throughout the year. So now the time has come, and I’m scrambling around like a headless chicken in search of a Wii. No problem, right?
Wrong. Check out my progress so far:

Ever since last year’s annual physical in which I’d impressed the OB/GYN with my lack of health complaints or issues, I vowed to maintain status quo so as not to disappoint Dr. M this year. And after 12 months of pushing myself to the limit with a regular exercise routine, staying good with daily calorie counting and fasting the night before my appointment, well, I’m pretty sure I’ve achieved that goal.
Here’s how it all played out today:

Well I don’t know exactly how extreme this itcatholicmom.net blog makeover might be to you, but it’s extreme enough to give me a little learning curve on how to navigate around while administering the thing, that’s for sure. Anyway, I do hope those of you who were once able to post comments, but then had difficulties after the last theme update are now able to do so once again. Not only did that last overhaul give you grief, but it gave me the grumps. And basically, I wasn’t willing to stick with a ‘look’ carrying so much baggage, thus this new theme.
Let’s see how it goes this time around!
Please do me a favor and login/post a comment so I know this whole thing is working again? I really do appreciate it, especially since I have quite a bit of backed up blogging that I need to post before I spontaneously combust. That could be quite ugly, you know.
