Last night was huge in the way of performing arts, and Catholic Girlie and I had a big taste of music mastery that will go down in the history books. Together we attended this concert that was described in local reviews as ‘exquisite as Fodor’s violins’ which left us mystified as we sat glued to our seats for over 2 hours. Never before had we witnessed such a dazzling performance, or had we been in the same room with musical instruments valued at over $20 million. And that’s not a typo - $20,000,000.
Talk about unworthiness, we should’ve finished the night with a big Buddha stretch in honor of it all. It was just that amazing.

Today I woke up to find the Catholic neighborhood immersed in big huge tufts of FOG. Amazing how driving the kids to school became so much more difficult when the usual landmarks were no longer visible to the naked eye. Being the ever geeky IT’er, flipping on my Garmin nuvi 205 made my drive a piece of cake once again. What a nerd ball I am - and loving it.

Straight from the Catholic Family garden, this green pepper bears a striking resemblence to a ‘Grumpy Old Man’. God must be playing a little joke on us this year, eh? Very funny.

My thinking was that the sweet little innocent faces of previous years would be no more at the middle school level. Instead, I pictured myself looking out into a classroom of sinister faces attached to bodies that were almost as tall as, if not taller, than me as they chucked stones at my head while I attempted to teach Catholic stuff to them. And I’m not into painful teaching experiences. Not in this lifetime, anyway. But I digress.
