Grumpy Green Pepper
Straight from the Catholic Family garden, this green pepper bears a striking resemblence to a ‘Grumpy Old Man’. God must be playing a little joke on us this year, eh? Very funny.

Too funny….hot pepper or Italian?? I grew sweet Italian this year and they are fabulous!!! Not quite like a bell pepper, like a hot pepper but no heat what so ever. All my bells are turning red at this point.
What? There are Italian peppers? Wow - I might be related! Anyway, this one is a bell pepper. Not sure how it tasted, because we couldn’t bear to eat something that looked like a grumpy person’s head.
Overall though, it hasn’t been the best gardening season we’ve ever experienced. Ok, so it’s been the absolute worst, who am I kidding. Mother Nature wasn’t very kind to us, unfortunately.
I’d stuff it and eat. Takes one to eat one…
This reminds me of my post about the punk rock!

I love “things with personality!” hee! I could see this pepper razzing the muppets with the two old guys in the balcony.
*hugs!*

@EricAtRandom - What a great post about your punk rock! I bet it brings back sweet memories every time you see it now. And yes, I can envision this grumpy pepper in the muppet balcony with the old geezers - only you would make that connection! lol
Thanks for commenting on our garden treasure.
I love the grumpy pepper. Grumpy or not he would totally be eaten at my place.
Unrelated question: Where did you get your little Flickr photo thingy?
@angei - Funny, we couldn’t bear to eat him. Instead he sat on the counter and morphed into a red-faced prune. (Email w/Flash Flickr badge info sent to you. Have fun w/it!)
