Dear George W. Bush,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sending me the nice fancy Presidential Champion GOLD award! The gold medal, pin, ribbon and certificate arrived via USPS yesterday, and I couldn’t have been more pumped up about the whole deal. In fact, be sure to wave at me the next time you do a flyover as I’ll be decked out in all three medals (bronze, silver, gold) just for you. Really, wave to me!
And of course it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t post of picture of my goodies, so here you go: Yes, I know you’ve already seen these, but just consider this photo as delivery confirmation.

Dear George W. Bush,
Never in your wildest dreams are you going to believe what I have to report today. No, I didn’t drop another pound. And no, I didn’t complete the Gold challenge yet. But get this: the Sisters (or ‘nuns’ as you like to call them) BOUGHT ME A BICYCLE! It’s true! So now I don’t have to continue riding the 15-year-old mountain bike that I received as a college graduation gift, the one with loud squeaky breaks and a flat tire. Wasn’t that sweet of those ladies? I know!
Anyway, I won’t continue to bore you with my boring old workout update. Just know that I’m adding ‘biking’ to the list of workout activities in my online log, so you should see more progress when it comes to my fitness. I promise to keep you posted as things pick up for me, as I know how interested you are in seeing me get that gold medal and all.
Wait, before I go how’d you like to see a photo of my new bike? You would?! Ok, here’s my TREK 7200 bicycle:
Sweet, huh George? Maybe we can go biking together with the family next time I’m in your neck of the woods. That’d be fun!
Ok ok… back to work. I’ve got IT stuff to do, and you’ve got a country to maintain.
TTFN,
ITChick & Fitness Fanatic
P.S. Any ideas on a name for my new bike? She needs one… I’m at a loss.

That’s right, my friend, be proud of your devoted workout diva in losing 1 WHOLE POUND over the past couple of weeks. And why’s that such a big deal to me? Because now I’m right back to the weight I started at one year ago when I joined up with your Presidential fitness program. You read that right, George. Right. Where. I started.
I’ve been meaning to tell you about how the scale crept up a little after my big workout craze began, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. It’s just too hard to accept the fact that ‘muscle weighs more than fat’. But the positive results really are too hard to ignore! So I didn’t want to tell you until the numbers started moving down. And finally, it happened. Probably due to the increased resistance on the elliptical lately? Had to be it. (And oh yes, that was me sweating like a total pig on the cardio machine. Stop laughing.)
Meanwhile, you should keep that gold medal handy for me George, because I’m 70% closer to adding it to my collection. Heck, why not pack it up and mail it on your way to work tomorrow? One less thing to worry about, right? Like you need any more things to worry about.
Take care and ((hugs)) to Laura & the First Girls.
I’m on fire. *sizzle*
